Happy New Year. Despite the restrictions of 2020, several new breweries have still opened up, or are planned. Hopefully the latest restrictions won’t affect too many breweries long-term.
New breweries added: North Sea Brewery, Rosyth; Copper Fox, Westhill, Aberdeen; Seven Kings Brewery (changed from proposed); Ardgour Ales, nr Fort William; Outlandish Brewing Company, Glenboig.
Proposed: Braemar Brewing Co., Braemar; Isle of Eigg Brewery; Microbrewery planning permission granted, Tongue; Olrig Brewery, Thurso – planning application. Origin Brewing, Leith – planning application granted. Inn House Brewery, Glasgow – planning application. Comrie Croft Hostel – planning application approved for microbrewery. Langbank – planning application approved for microbrewery.
Other: Bute Brew Co changed from closed to proposed (hoping to reopen in 2021). Portpatrick Brewery – awaiting planning permission for new location in Kirkcolm.
